Book 5: A Month Later

“Are you sure you’ll be fine, Iris?” Isaac loaded his luggage into the car before turning to face his sister. In the last month, the twins had worked very hard to fulfil their dreams. They had not only improved their GPA, but were the class valedictorians as well, with almost identical scores. 

Their speeches and awards received at the graduation ceremony shut all speculation. In fact, they were the only ones from school admitted to an Ivy League university like Stanford. Iris’ heart had swelled with pride at being invited to their graduation ceremony as their guardian.

A week later, the twins were ready to leave her. But Iris’s heart was heavy. Having taken care of them since their birth, she would miss them immensely. “Yes. If I miss you too much, I’ll go to your university to meet you. It’s just a six-hour drive from here, right?” She chuckled to lighten the atmosphere. 

“Can’t you come along with us, Iris? I wish you could study too.” Ivan stood near the car
