Chapter 7

CASSANDRA

I suddenly felt the grip on my neck loosen. Immediately, I gasped for air falling to the floor. Before I could fall a figure held me.

I raised opened my eyes looking at the figure. It was Jason, he had woken up.

"Am coming." I heard him mutter as he put me on the bed gently.

I watched as he yelled at the figure who I was sure was his brother, asking him why he was poking his nose into his business.

The figure replied that he didn't want his elder brother hurt that was why he was trying to kill me.

My eyes became red hearing their conversation. I wished I had someone who would love me the way they do to themselves.

After he managed to get his brother to leave without fighting he walked back to me.

I smiled weakly at him and asked him why he was protecting me.

He shrugged and said I looked like someone close to his heart.

His reply made my heart flutter and I felt happy.
