Davis's POV
I walked into the dimly lit room, feeling more than a little apprehensive about the conversation I was about to have. The woman I was supposed to meet had promised me something I desperately wanted, but I wasn't entirely sure I trusted her. After all, I had heard rumors about her reputation. She sat on a couch near the window, looking up as I walked in.
"Good evening, Davis," she said in a low voice.
"Good evening," I replied, my gaze flicking around the room. "Are we alone?"
She nodded. "Yes, it's just you and me."
I took a seat across from her, still feeling uneasy. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
She smiled, and something about it sent a shiver down my spine. "I just wanted to let you know that I've taken care of everything. I spoke to the alpha, and I made sure he's forgiven you."
I raised an eyebrow. "Forgiven me? For what?"
