“What have you done to my mate?” Alpha Merrick snarled angrily. He had been in a meeting with some officials when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest and midsection and knew instantly that Anna was in danger.

“I wish to be excused from the meeting!” he said, his eyes glowing. Then looking at his Beta, told him through mind link, “Stay on till the end of the meeting. Anna is in danger and I have to go save her!”
