“You are indeed pregnant,” My mother said with so much conviction as she let go off my hand. I hadn’t known she had taken my hand.

“How did you know?” I asked.

“I just felt your pulse and I know you are indeed pregnant,” she said and I looked at my hand. “I am no longer a novice when it comes to such matters. I hadn’t paid attention at first, cause I had been too concerned about you and your marriage to have noticed.”

“It is true, I am indeed pregnant. My wild just confirmed it!” I said.

“If you haven’t met Adrian since you got married, then isn’t it possible the pup is Sean’s?” she asked. “Why is he so sure it isn’t his and why does Adrian want to claim it as his?”
