Chapter 147. Am I Being Punished for My Wrongs?

Iris’s POV

I arrived at the Crescent Pack to see my uncle and his family. Alpha Hugh O’Hara. His wife Melinda welcomed me since he was in a meeting.

“You’re welcome, Iris,” she said. “Hope your parents are well?”

“They are doing great,” I answered. “How are my cousins Reily and Regan?”

“They are doing great as well. Their father sent them for some training of sorts. You know how these things are.”

I nodded. Men and their trainings. It was to be able to defend themselves and the pack. But that was not where my interest lay at the moment.

“You must be tired let me get you something to eat while you wait for your uncle to get through with the meeting and come welcome you properly.”

I are and slept. When I woke, I was at first shocked at the strange surroundings but then, memories flooded in and I felt a burden on my heart. I didn’t know that I could still feel the pain of Sean’s betrayal but right then it weighed heavily on me. I had rea
