Chapter 23
Matthew wondered if this Gregory guy was a wannabe gangster who dreamed of becoming an official.
The tall, imposing bodyguards dressed in black, skilled in their trade, usually protect only celebrities, government officials, or influential families. It seems that Gregory values his reputation.
A scar-faced man wearing dark sunglasses and dark skin, looking entirely out of place in his immaculate black suit, steps forward.
He glares around and then angrily turns back to Matthew, yelling loudly.
"You're dead today. And not just dead, but a mutilated corpse."
But Matthew remains calm, asking an unrelated question.
"How do you guys feel about a bar without Coca-Cola? It's a popular drink, you know."
As he speaks, Matthew shakes his head as if something is deplorable.
The server wonders if Matthew is that desperate for Coca-Cola.
Still, he gathers his courage and shouts.
