Seeing this interaction, Matthew suspected something. It was evident that the two men knew each other. The rabbit was equally surprised; even her mother, Layla, and brother, Jevin White, were clueless.
"Black, say one bad word about me, and I'll throw them back into captivity, regardless of their fate. If you agree, they can come inside." Matthew said calmly.
"Captivity? What happened?" Black furrowed his brow and looked back at Vidor.
Upon closer inspection, Vidor appeared worn and weary, and the family seemed on the run.
Jevin White's eyes pleaded with Black to agree.
"Get inside quickly. We'll talk once you're in." Black said, knowing Matthew wasn't joking.
