Chapter 24
"Enoch was captured. call Otis back. We need people right now."
A nearby subordinate nodded and quickly carried out the task.
"Contact Corbin, tell him Gregory sincerely wants to meet."
Another man nodded as if receiving an order and quickly went about his business.
Gregory was left alone in the room, where he sat down on a chair and let out a heavy sigh. He had never encountered someone so capable in all his years of struggle. Even Corbin, whom he begrudgingly acknowledged as a boss in Blue Sea City, could only go so far as to force the closure of the 1.0 bar.
Suddenly, phone rang, a strange sequence of numbers in the screen.
"Gregory... a debut gift, good, isn't it?"
The voice was sharp, slightly deep, and carried a hint of implication.
Gregory bolted upright, furrowing his brows tightly.
"Are you... the one causing trouble for me?"
The person on the other end remained calm.
