Chapter 21. The Acceptance

Gabriella's POV

I had just turned to look at the door of my cell when I heard it suddenly open. I jumped up quickly from the steel bed, where I had been lying for the past three days, and faced the guards who had just entered my cell.

One of the guards told me, "Alpha Bernard wants you to go to Prince Javier's room."

I was perplexed as to why Alpha Bernard had dispatched me to the room of Prince Javier. Was the purpose of it to inquire as to whether or not I had been the one to poison Princess Amanda, or was there another purpose?

After being approached by a guard, he released the handcuffs on my leg and we were then walked to exit my cell.

After I was finally released from prison, I shut my eyes and took a few long breaths. After being locked up for three days, I was finally able to see the light and breathe in the clean air.
