Maya’s POV
I tossed the wig aside and bolted off without wasting a single moment.
“Maya! Wait! Is that you?!” Sabrina’s voice echoed behind me as I ran, but I couldn’t risk looking back to see how close she was. Whether she’d recognized me or not was too dangerous to confirm. All I needed to do was shake her. The passersby gawked at us in bewilderment, sidestepping to keep their distance.
