Chapter 130
Anita’s POV
“Anita, wake up!” a voice commanded softly. My eyes immediately flew open, and I realized I was on my bed, in my room.
“Argh!” I cried out in pain, clutching my belly.
The last thing I remembered was whimpering on the floor, struggling to breathe—struggling for my life.
The pain I felt… was out of this world!
I took in a deep breath to regulate my breathing. The pain had reduced to almost nothing. I looked around and there was no one in the room with me. The lights were turned off, but I could hear a muffled voice coming from the hallway.
I closed my eyes again to articulate all that had happened.
I slowly made my way out of bed into the bathroom.
I took the courage to look at myself in the mirror, and I was stunned to see how messy my hair was.
“So much for having a running stomach on Christmas Day!” I grumbled to myself.
I decided to run myself a warm bath. I packed my hair in a tight bun, but not tight
