Chapter 28
Anita’s POV
It was the morning of the meeting; the meeting was not until 10:00 am on Thursday, but still, I had woken up quite early. I would say it was the anxiety, I suppose.
Richard had woken up just a few minutes ago, and he had texted me to remind me we had a big day ahead. His room was a few meters from mine.
I had started to miss Chicago. And my Comfort home, I had missed sitting in my office desk comfortably.
I looked around from the window; the sun was struggling to peek out of the clouds, and New York was already cold, only for the snow to start dropping and keeping everyone inside.
I couldn’t wait for winter to finally be here, but not in New York. All I wanted to do was head back to Chicago as soon as possible.
I had told the kids we were heading back to where they had met their friends, and they had jumped like it was another vacation trip.
