Chapter 53

Madison met Nathan in an unpleasant and heartbreaking mood outside the ward of his grandfather in the Westbrook Intensive Care Hospital. She called him countless times to find out where he had gone but he ignored all of her calls. She was only able to know from Henty that Mr. Jones suffered a heart attack and a minor stroke at home. His illness was visibly getting worse and now to add it with the scandal at the seminar. Nathan was definitely blaming himself.

“Hey,” Nathan felt a gentle touch on his shoulder. He looked up to find out it was Madison.

“Where are you here?” he arrogantly asked her while he was thankful within him that he had someone to cradle away his pain stricken emotions.

“Why did you not let me know what had happened?” she asked him.

“Why should I? You are among the people who take me as a fool.” he accused without even thinking.

Madison did not come for all that which he was saying, she came to find out how Mr. Jones was doing.
