Chapter 246

Mira opened the bag for Cage to breathe.

“Be quiet now, we are about to face real danger. Hopefully both of us make it out” Mira said.

Cage nodded as he was furious about his condition. He knew things would have have been easier if he could move properly.

Mira remained calm as she observed her surroundings, it would be very unwise to drive into the danger. It was noisy as the vehicles spread out through different routes searching for them. Minutes later the large gate was shut. 

Mira leaned on the wall as she stared at Cage in the dark. She could barely see his face. Pulling out some groceries she stored earlier, she handed it to Cage.

“Eat up, we can't move now. It's very dangerous” Mira said in a whisper.

“So we stay here?” Cage asked.

“If you have a better place, then we can go there” Mira replied.

Cage reluctantly grabbed an apple as he munched into it. He hadn't tasted a proper meal in days. Hopefully they escaped.
