Chapter 29
“I don't blame him.” Lucy sighed. She knew that she had hurt him in every possible way. Cage was upset with her and it got her worried.
Yes, she wanted to divorce him but at that moment, she needed him badly. She needed him to embrace her and all her worries would be over. She thought about all the times that Cage proved to be the sweetest person she knew and it made her shed tears.
Did he deserve the divorce? How did their lives even get to this? They used to be so in love.
“Don't tell me you're wasting your precious tears on that lowlife!” Mrs Richards was agitated.
“He claims to love you but he's not here. No matter what you two are going through, your health and safety should be a priority to him and he has shown that he doesn't care for you at all.” Mrs Richards was trying hard to make sure that she painted Cage black in front of Lucy.
She doesn't want anything that would reunite them, she wants Cage out of their lives.
