Chapter 10. A Dinner Date

Kai stares intently at Relian as he sits draped back in a chair, snoring with his mouth open. He slowly brings up the piece of bread, then places it in the Hunter’s mouth. Relian’s eyes immediately blink, and he straightens up to start eating the bread. “Good morning!” Kai says.

Relian groans as he brings a hand to his head and mumbles through the bread, “Quietly Kai, quietly.”

“Brother, you know what day it is, right?”

“Um… Wednesday?”

“We gotta go meet the doctor lady! It’s past three!”

Relian picks up the nearby bottle to find it was empty, and Kai holds out a glass of water. Relian chokes a bit as he washes down the bread and he stands to say, “Alright, let’s get going!”

“Hold up,” the young lad says as he holds up a hand. “You need to take a bath.”

“Eh? It hasn’t been a week yet, has it?”

“Brother, we’re meeting a lady, going to her house, for at least a few hours. I feel sorry for her just thinking about it.”

Relian grumble
