Chapter 14. Promises

Trevor had just arrived at Sandra’s condo unit, and when Savannah saw him, she immediately ran to him and hugged him tightly. “Take me… take me to my Lolo and Lola, please…” she cried on his shoulders. He then wrapped his arms around her and lightly tapped her head as she was crying.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry I’m crying… I… I just had to cry before I go there…” she sniffed. “I… I don’t want Lolo to see me like this… he… he will become weaker if he sees me in this state…”

“We… we will come with you two…” Sandra put her sling bag on her shoulder and grabbed Shirley’s hand, but Shirley immediately dropped her hand and told her, “Sands, we have to finish your project… its deadline is tomorrow!”
