Chapter 16. Mistaken for a Girlfriend

After that day, Trevor consistently fulfilled his promises to Savannah and Lola Sally. He was always available and supportive, and he spent a lot of time with Savannah, going above and beyond what was expected of him. He would pick her up whenever she needed a ride, spend his breaks and lunchtime with her, and made an effort to reduce his bar-hopping habits on Fridays (although he still went occasionally with Sav’s permission, which she didn’t mind).

“Need a hand with that?” Trevor didn’t wait for Savannah’s answer as he immediately grabbed the paper bags she was carrying, which contained groceries she had just bought from the supermarket. Normally, Savannah’s grandparents would handle the grocery shopping, but she had taken on the task herself while her Lola Sally rested, and Trevor had come over to check on Lola Sally’s condition.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were going grocery shopping today? I would have come and helped you,” Trevor clicked his tongue and shook his he
