Chapter 48

“Okay, let’s go, buddy,” I say to him as he drags his body from the car and stands to his feet once he is out.

“Whoopsie..” He says when he almost tilts over and falls. I grab him by his shoulder and I place his arm over me.

“I love you so much, James..you help me a lot.” He slurs his words and I sigh.

“Be careful with where you step,” I say to him with a smile as I lead him to the back door.

Now I could sneak him into the house from the back here, but I would still have to pass by the Lieutenant in some way for me to be able to take Robert up the stairs and into the guest room.
