Robert immediately looks at me for confirmation and I avoid his gaze.

“Jen, is this true?” I hear Chad ask and I make eye contact with him. I know the look on his face right now, it is the calm before the storm. Chad is incredibly overprotective when it comes to the people in his life.

“Of course it’s true. I watched it on the security camera when we came back from the gym.” Carlos explains.

“James, what the crap?” Robert advances toward him, but he does not even flinch.

“Is this true?” He asks him once he is only a foot away from the guy. He stares straight into his eyes, waiting for a reply.

“That’s enough,” I say, but not loud enough because no one seems to care that I am speaking right now. They all have their eyes trained on the duo.
