Chapter 115
“Spencer is the first child I had, he is the oldest. He has always loved music and I have supported him in every way, but for some reason, he does not like what I do.” Henry begins to explain.
“You mean being a criminal.” Chad elaborates and Henry sighs.
“Call it what you want but I call it surviving.” He clarifies and I click my tongue on my teeth, making a small noise.
I can empathize with him, because sometimes what life throws us makes us who we are, though we still have the choice to say no to that pressure changing us. I did not want to be an assassin while growing up, my dream was to be a ballet dancer. And though I sucked at it, it was something I enjoyed doing. I had support from my parents and everything was perfect until they got murdered.
That was when the color from my life was sucked right out, leaving me with a bland, trauma-filled existence. Things eventually got worse and that is when I allowed the pressure in my life to change me.
