I am a very patient person, especially this year.

But I am not going to stand in a cue that is so long just to get in a club for a party with hormonal teenagers.

She seems annoyed by the fact that we are still at the back. The line does not even seem to be moving.

Davina runs her left hand through her hair and turns towards me with a nervous smile. As if to say - Sorry we did not get to turn up.

Then her eyes lights up, as if she just figured out the cure for a terminal illness or something.

"Rita!" She says more to herself than me.

She digs in her small black purse for her phone. When she gets it, she scrolls through it and tap on a name. I scoot closer to her to have full view of her phone.

She has a small smile on her face as she clicks a name saved as "Rita". For a second I'm distracted by her smile. The way her lips curves up.
