“You said the same thing three years ago, remember?” He says to me and I close my eyes in frustration.

“You and I know clearly that that’s not fair. It’s not the same thing.” I say to him.

“Quincy, you said she wanted you to jump off a building!” He yells into the phone and I inhale sharply.

“You know what?” I say to him, on verge of snapping. “I’m sorry I even called to tell you that my freaking mom is alive! Your own wife!” I yell into the phone.

Tears involuntarily fall from my eyes freely and I fight the urge to throw my phone across the room towards the wall.

“Quincy, don’t you yell at me.” It’s the last thing I hear before I end the call. I then place my phone on airplane mode.

Damn me! Damn my entire life!

This can’t be me hallucinating, right? No, it can’t be. That only happened once, and him bringing that up again mentally and emotionally wrecks me.
