Chapter 208

My dad tries to lift me and it’s like my body comes alive fully. Pain spreads from my leg throughout my entire body, and I begin to convulse.

“Oh crap.” My dad says as he releases me on the blood-covered floor. He turns me on my side and dials 911.

“911, what’s your emergency?” Is the last thing I hear before I black out.

A steady beeping noise sounds in my ears as I open my eyes slowly. The room is blurred but soon begins to become clear.

Everything looks strange and unnatural and I begin to panic instantly.

“Hey, hey. You’re alright, just breathe.” I hear a voice and I turn to it and I see Davina.

She looks stunning, almost as if she’s a mirage that I can’t touch. She looks too perfect.

What is she doing here?

“You’re in the hospital.” She says as she gently touches my hand, I then notice that I have needles poking in them.

“We almost lost you there.” She says and I see her smile beautifully, cau
