Chapter 4

“Daddy, please, stop!” a young boy screamed, watching with horrified eyes as his father punched his mother.

The woman fell to the ground, and her lip and nose were ripped. She looked at the boy, instructing him with her eyes to leave. However, the boy refused; he couldn’t get his legs to leave his mother in that state.

The grown man glared at his son, disgust in his cold eyes as he stormed over to him. He suddenly grabbed the boy by his throat and raised him till he was at eye level with him.

“What did you just say?” he growled.

Aldric struggled to breathe, fear making itself known in his blue eyes.

He clawed at his father’s hand but was too little to cause any damage. All he was able to do was infuriate the man more.

He flung the boy into the wall, which made an unsettling c**** sound. When the woman screamed, he knocked her out.
