Chapter 21

Alessa heard the faucet in the bathroom turned off and the door open. She didn’t look immediately because someone might scandalize her eyes again.

She heard Elijah laugh softly. “I’m already dressed. Don’t worry.”

Alessa breathed a sigh of relief and turned around. And he was right. Elijah was already dressed. He was wearing shorts and a white t-shirt. He was now wiping his hair with a towel.

“Sit down first. I’ll give you something,” he said. He took something from the nightstand and handed it to her.

“Cloud9?” she asked. She laughed before accepting it. “Thank you.”

“If you don’t like that, I have variants of sweets here. That’s my favorite, so you might like it more.” He pointed to his container of desserts.

“That’s so many!” she exclaimed when she saw that all kinds of chocolate were there.

Elijah scratched his head. “That’s the one I bought at the market earlier. I missed it. I’m too shy to ask you to buy it, so I am the one who did it
