Alessa’s POV

The day of Elijah and I’s flight to Thailand arrived. Mommy drove us to the airport along with my in-laws. They are all buying dos and don’ts. Elijah and I were like children. That’s why we just shook our heads while smiling.

“Elijah, take care of your wife, right? We know that you will do that, but I hope that when you get home, there will be three of you,” said Elijah’s daddy, which is why my cheeks warmed up.

“I’ll take care of it, Dad.”

I lightly hit my husband on the arm. Mommy spoke, “And you, Alessa. Take care of Elijah. It’s not an easy process to do on his face, so you take care of your husband, okay?”

I nodded immediately. “Yes, mom. I’ll take care of him.”

“You two be careful there. Remember that you must always update us, no matter what happens.”

They hugged both Elijah and me until we turned our backs on them. I’m nervous that I’m leaving the country, but since I’m with Elijah, I’m also feeling excited. Even
