Alessa’s POV
“Babe, Beatrice is here,” Elijah said when he peeked in the door. This is the one who opened the main door because I was still fixing it.
“Okay,” I smiled when I said that to my husband. Again, I looked at my own reflection in the mirror. There is no special occasion today, but I want to be presentable in front of Elijah and Bea.
This is my personality, so I apologize for my attitude towards Bea. It doesn’t deserve to be treated like I did. It’s true that I felt guilty because I judged it. It’s not too late for me to get back at Bea. That’s why I want her to be my friend.
When I left the living room, he and Bea were talking. Elijah smiled, but I knew it was teasing. I rolled my eyes and just let him go.
“It’s good that you accepted our invitation to have dinner here,” I said to Bea.
“Who am I to pick you up, right?” She smiled at me. “Your husband told me that you already know...”
