Chapter 76
Alyson’s POV
The sky was overcast, and we were still on the road. We didn’t expect that Bea and I would be in traffic. We had already bought our coffee but when we were going home; we didn’t expect that it would cost us this much.
“Are you okay?” Bea asked me.
“Y-yes.”
I looked away and focused my eyes on the outside of the window so that she would not notice and see that I was sad. I really don’t like this weather. I feel like the sky is sad too and sympathizes with whatever I’m going through right now.
“Alyson?”
I heard Bea calling me. That’s why I turned to her. “Yes?” I tried to raise my voice.
“I don’t believe you’re okay.”
“Why did you say that? Can you read people’s minds?” I almost laughed at that idea.
She shook her head as her eyes rolled forward. “I can see in your eyes that you are sad,” she said with a glance at me.
