Chapter 5. Family Dinner

It was Sam’s first day of work in Mika’s company. He woke up early. He had been looking forward to this day for weeks, ever since he received the call offering him the job. He had always admired Mika and her success in the business world, and he felt honored to be joining her team.

As he got ready for work, Sam couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. He wanted to make a good impression on his new colleagues and prove that he was the right person for the job. He had prepared for this day by researching the company and its projects, and he felt confident in his abilities.

As he arrived at the office, Sam was greeted by Mika herself. She welcomed him warmly and introduced him to the rest of the team. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming, and Sam felt more at ease.

However, his mood quickly changed when he saw Alex go closer to Mika. Sam felt a pang of jealousy and pain in his heart. He had been waiting for Mika, yet he was
