Chapter 7. A Friend Who's Always There

Sam was at his desk when he remembered Mika. He then looked at her office, but she wasn’t there. He began to wonder and get worried about her. As Sam was about to stand, he then saw Mika walking toward her office, but before she could go inside, she glanced at Sam and caught him staring at her. A smile slowly formed on the corner of her lips before she entered her office. 

Sam noticed himself being distracted, but then he managed to focus on his work. Sam was looking at his computer when a hand landed on his desk. He looked up and saw Alex, Mika’s fiancée. He frowned while looking at him.

“Good morning, Sir,” Sam greeted him with a wide smile, but Alex looked furious and mad at him.

“I know you were with her yesterday.”

He remained calm, despite Alex throwing some harsh words at him. “You’re just our employee, Sam. Don’t you think it’s not appropriate behavior?”
