Chapter 27

Conrad's POV

Gwen has been absent from school and tutoring for a week. Some say she's back to using dr*gs, others speculate that she committed suicide or ran away from home. Rumors spread in the classic way, through whispers and text messages. I don't believe any of the aforementioned options have occurred, or at least, that's what I hope. Since the party, I haven't seen her again, haven't known what happened to her since the time our bodies came together. Not because I'm a jerk who hasn't texted her, not because I haven't called her until I'm tired, but because she hasn't responded to any of my attempts to communicate.
