Gwen's POV

The past few days have been a whirlwind. I've been running around, dealing with the paperwork and formalities of my inheritance. Professor Conrad has been helping me manage everything, and he has also spent a considerable amount of money to expedite the process. I have no words to thank him for everything he's doing for me. I always thought I was alone, that things with my aunt would work out, but gradually I realized that my only option was to leave.

Actually, I never thought about what would happen to her afterward. If I left, what would become of her life? Did I plan to report her for abuse, or would I just let her go free? I never delved deep into those thoughts. I only knew I wanted to leave and reclaim all the money my parents had left me. Sometimes, it wasn't even about the money; it was about finding a way to escape. I could have left a million times before. She never restricted my outings or told me I couldn't go to a specific place, but I had nowhere
