“The message arrived, and everyone went crazy. The students started saying that you were very lenient with them and that they always believed you hadn't come there to teach but to pretend to be just another university student.”
I furrow my brow.
“Other students defended you, saying that you had always been very professional and that the things you taught them were dynamic and fun. The students have very contradictory opinions, but the school administrators don't want the rumor to reach the parents' ears. You're not just tarnishing your own name but also the reputation of the university. You work for them; I don't know if you've understood, but you need to know that this is more complicated than it seems. Conrad, you haven't been professional. Do you think professionalism isn't important? What is your concept of professionalism?”
