Chapter 136. Putting the Past Behind Us
The sun started to set on Harry’s opulent home, which was a huge, imposing structure that was occupied only by Harry. Perhaps one day he would wed Alice, increasing the number of family members in this home.
In the afternoon sun, the view of Central Park from the window on the second story appeared to be golden. A dark brown package dropped from a stack of old papers while Harry was organizing his closet.
One of the Polaroid pictures drifted out. As soon as Harry lifted it up, his chest constricted. A stunning blond woman was seen in the picture laughing aloud on the Brooklyn Bridge. With her blond hair blowing in the spring breeze of New York, Angeline wore the white floral sundress that was her favorite at the moment. Harry is standing next to her, wearing a black shirt, and he has one arm around Angeline’s waist while grinning widely. Their joyful moment seemed to be completed by the famous bridge and the blue sky in the background.
