Chapter 17. Don’t Expect Too Much

Harry was surprised to see Alice text him. The woman asked how Harry was doing, specifically regarding the man’s health. Is it much better, or vice versa.

“Is she worried?” Harry muttered various things in his head.

“Instead of asking via message, why not ask in person over the phone?” Harry muttered.

Harry’s finger was about to press the phone icon so he could speak directly to Alice, but his hand suddenly stopped. There was doubt in his heart, and Harry became unsure.

He smiled. “Should I do it?”

The man decided to just reply to Alice’s message without trying to call her; he didn’t want his secretary to judge him badly.

[Yes. I’m fine.] After sending a reply, Harry put his phone back down. The man lay back down and decided to go back to sleep.
