Chapter 12

Ian wakes up as the vibrant glow of the sun's rays pierces through his window, casting a bright yellow light across his face. The stunning morning scene captures his attention, prompting him to rise from his comfortable bed. As he stretches and yawns, his eyes catch a sight that leaves him confused.

There, lying on the floor just outside his room, is the girl he had told to sleep on the sofa. Confusion washes over him as he tries to comprehend why she would choose such an unconventional spot for sleep. He slaps his forehead and lets out an exasperated click of his tongue, unable to fathom her behavior.

"Goodness gracious, what on earth is this girl up to?" Ian muses audibly, a hint of amusement in his voice. However, it does not come as a surprise to him, given the mischievous nature of the girl. He chuckles softly, a glimmer of affection hidden within his confusion.
