Chapter 8

I found myself anxiously holding my breath, waiting for his lips to come into contact with mine. It was a moment I never wanted to experience in the first place, but now I felt powerless to stop it. Just as I thought I could not do anything else, I was suddenly taken aback.

His body suddenly dropped on top of mine, pinning me down and making it difficult for me to breathe under the weight. "Oh my God, Adrian Marquez!" I screamed, struggling to push him away. However, it seemed like he was sleeping like a log, completely unresponsive. I turned my face away and caught a whiff of alcohol, causing me to feel disoriented and unable to move.

"Adrian Marquez, come wake up!!!" I cried, right into his ear, hoping for any sort of response. But there was none, not even a witty remark. Great, just great. This was turning out to be a huge inconvenience.

Eventually, I heard the sound of the doorbell suddenly ringing. It was a clear indication that someone had
