Chapter 22

Kaytly hurriedly arrived at Xavia’s boarding house. As soon as she entered, she saw the terrified expression on Xavia’s face as she rushed into her embrace, crying in pain.

Kaytly noticed bandages wrapped around Xavia’s head, indicating an injury.

“Xavia, what happened to your head?”

“Kaytly, what should I do? Someone tried to kill me! I’m terrified!”

Xavia, usually fierce and fearless, now resembled a frightened little rabbit, trembling in Kaytly’s arms.

Kaytly was startled and terrified listening to Xavia’s tearful account.

“Xavia, what are you saying?”

“Somebody wants to kill me, and they even threatened me. It won’t be as simple as a minor injury next time.” Xavia spoke in a frightened and disoriented manner.

Kaytly couldn’t fully understand what Xavia was trying to convey. She furrowed her brows and pondered for a moment. “Xavia, can you explain in a way that I can understand? What exactly happened?”

Xavia sat up from Kaytly
