Moon’s POV

“You have your room, don’t you?” Jol scowled at me. “It has been hot in here since you decided to crash.”

“I’m just spending the nights here.” I flopped down on his bed, and placed my left arm over my head, to raise my head. “You should be happy I decided to sleep in here. I know how many females will be hoping to have someone like me in their room.”

“Then go over to them. Or better yet, go back to your human. Isn’t she the reason you are here now?”

“Ray?” I sighed. “I’m not certain she wants me back there. Not after knowing who I am, and what I’m capable of doing.”

“Can you quit making yourself sound like a monster? I’m more of a monster than you are, Moon.” Jol sat on the other side of the bed. “I’ve killed my fair share of people before I met you. Compared to me, you are a saint.”
