Chapter 16
He tossed and turned in his bed, holding on to the bedclothes, clinging to them as if his life depended on it. He tried to force his eyes open, but he could not. He was far too drawn into his dream, and every attempt he made to force himself to wake up made him sink deeper and deeper into his dream.
In his nightmare, he was in the company of wolves, dark, vicious wolves that had the faces of humans and the fangs of devils. And he stood in the midst of them all, his fangs longer than the rest of them, roaring his ugly head up.
It looked like they were bowing to him. That, he did not understand. But he knew for sure that there was something interesting happening here, and somehow, he seemed to be in the center of it all.
They were speaking in a strange language he did not understand. Their voices rose and fell together. The more he tried to pay attention to them to decipher what they were saying, the more confused he got. So, in the end, he gave up and watched them v
