Chapter 50. A Step Behind
Lennox’s POV
The forest surrounding the Autumn Pack smells like pine and copper. As the sun disappears behind the trees, the air grows cooler, but not frigid like the Winter Pack. Pine needles crunch under my boots, every step warning Alister’s warriors that we have come for what is ours.
Roman signals ahead, his rogues disappearing into the tree line. Levi stalks on my left, Louis on my right. None of us have spoken in miles. We don’t need to. The rage between us has become a living thing. A raging fire that is fueled by each step we take.
