Lotus’s POV

After the summit failed to bring peace between the packs, the triplets have been unusually quiet. Even Lennox has stopped playfully teasing me, and I never thought it would be something that I would miss. But I do. I just want my triplets back to the way they were. I can’t help but feel like this is all my fault. If I had remained hidden in the human city, there would be no war.

Quickly, I shake those thoughts from my mind. Though we are on the precipice of war, it has to be worth it. To free the woman from the confines of the cages they have been kept in is important, and I won’t feel sorry for bringing about the change that is so desperately needed.

A knock on my door drags my attention. “Come in.”

Max peeks his head in the door, a wide grin on his face. “The Alphas are waiting for you in the war room.”

I set down my book and groan loudly. “Do I have to?”

He chuckles with laughter. “I am afraid so, Luna. It is your duty.”
