Chapter 51. Mine. My Triplets.
Lotus’s POV
The truck sways like a ship on rough waters. Every jolt sends the silver cuffs biting deeper into my wrists. My heart throbs painfully, and my stomach churns.
Alister rides up front, his silhouette a dark slash against the gray sky. His guards flank the truck, but there aren’t as many as before. When Alister dragged me from the dungeons by my hair, some stood against him and demanded that he set me free. They claimed that by keeping me captive, he was defying the Moon Goddess. They have seen the mark on my neck; they know that the Winter Alphas have claimed me.
He killed them. All of them, and still dragged me from his pack.
We’ve been moving for hours. No food. No water. No word. Just the sound of the tires against the ground. The air is changing, growing hotter. We are moving into Spring Pack territory or maybe Summer. Either way, I am not sure that I have friends in either pack.
