Chapter 13. Good Things Happen

Alain, kneeling by the Verdean Forest’s soil, stared incredulously at the dead and mangled bodies of the Fire Moon Pack’s Alpha and Luna.

Dismembered and torn apart, stabbed and cut piece by piece. They are unrecognizable if not for their scent. Alain shook his head, unbelievable that one’s own pack members can do that to their leader.

‘That’s why you should always treat your fellow wolves properly,’ Orlon, his fierce and unyielding wolf, muttered.

“Go and summon Katharine,” said Alain to Apollo. “Tell her we have two lifeless sacrifices for today.”

Razel watched as Apollo vanished beyond the shade of huge trees. Apollo was once from the Fire Moon Pack, banished by the Alpha that came before Alpha Jonas for discovering that his Luna was in love with Apollo.

“Take away all their clothes.” Alain gazed at the dead bodies of the Alpha and Luna, both reeking of a foul smell that one wished to never breathe again. “Burn their apparel.”
