Chapter 79. Unusual Master

With an ironic smile, I stared at him.

“So, I'm still cursed, aren't I?” I teased, causing him to furrow his brow.

“I can assure you that training with me is more fun than with the old witch. Consider yourself lucky, hybrid!” Denver shrugged and stepped away. “ Follow me.”

We proceeded to a different garden, which looked like a labyrinth and was a bit sinister for my taste. Denver led me to the center, where the ground was covered with strange symbols connected by circles.

“Are we about to perform some kind of ritual?” I swallowed hard, staring at the symbols intently.

“Of course, and you'll be the offering!” Denver replied with a mischievous look.

“Well, apparently, I belong to the shadows, so…” I joked, making him relax. It was better to have him as a friend than an enemy, after all, my list of enemies was already too long.
