“Are we even safe anymore?” A voice trembled, breaking the momentary silence. Before I could step in, Heather moved—swift, certain—toward the woman. Something stopped me from interrupting.
“I have no doubt,” Heather continued, her voice low but steady, “that Alpha Kayden will protect us. He hasn’t stopped working, day and night, to keep us safe. Do not question his dedication. The ones responsible for this... They will regret ever challenging him.”
