Chapter 25. Understandings
Devonte looks at me dumbfounded, as if he isn’t sure what to do next. I know he heard me, and I’m impatiently waiting for him to fulfill my request. He owes me some groveling with his apology, and I want it the way I want it. There will be no working around it.
“Maybe we should talk first. I….I need to tell you wh-” I hold my hand up, effectively stopping him mid-sentence.
“I’m not interested in what you have to say. I heard your conversation with Vonte so I got the gist. No matter what, you owe me an apology and then some.” We stand and look at each other for a bit before Devonte nods at me. “Now that we’re on the same page, strip.” Devonte looks around before settling his gaze back on me.
“Out here, in the woods?” I take a step toward him and place my hands on my hips.
“I’m pretty sure I didn’t stutter and I know that we are outside in the woods. I knew that when I walked up to you. I will say it again and that’s it. Strip!” Devonte loo
