Chapter 11

Akia POV

It was still dark outside when we left for the pack, but I didn’t want to wait too long. I want to spend as much time there as I can, and maybe Matt won’t cross my mind. The lack of communication between us had me tossing and turning all night.

I love the little trips that I take with Esme from time to time. We enjoy blasting music and singing at the top of our lungs. Esme is a great friend whom I’m so glad to have met. It makes me miss Serena, but I know that I can’t reach out to her. I can’t let him find me.

We pull in front of my family’s home in the late morning to find my aunt and uncle standing outside, waiting for us. I rush out of the car and am engulfed in their arms. I really needed this, and I didn’t even know it. “We are so glad to see you, babygirl. Why don’t you come inside and eat some food, hmm?” My uncle lets me go and w
